Who is providing the best knowledge about the new International Wushu Competition Routines? For sure, their composers: Mr. Liu Tong Wei, vice-profrssor of Shanghai Wushu Institute (author of the broadsword manual), Mr. Zhang Yue Ning - General Secretary of Jiangsu Wushu Association (author of the straightsword manual) and other senior trainers of Chinese Wushu Association, participated in the creation of the new competition standards. These Wushu experts have teached all nuances of the new compulsories to their international colleagues on the 2002 Shanghai International Coaches Seminar, held by International Wushu Federation on Aug 06-12, 2002. 76 trainers from 26 countries learned and improved the expertise of the new Wushu standards in order to subsequently teach it to thousands of athletes in their native countries. Russia was represented exclusively by the delegation of National Wushu Federation - its president, Mrs Eleonora Volokontseva, and the trainers Mikhail Gololobov and Alexander Bouzakov (see the right picture). Now it is sure that the athletes, prepared by National Wushu Federation of Russia using the obtained information, will honorably represent Russia on any highest-level International competitions.
